General support
If you choose to include the Wildlife Conservation Network in your will or estate plan, you can name us as follows:

I give                                            to the Wildlife Conservation Network, a California nonprofit corporation, with principal business address of 25745 Bassett Lane, Los Altos, CA 94022.

Species-specific support
There is no more important or lasting final act than making a bequest to conserve the environment for future generations. We recognize that donors may have very specific intentions for their bequest, and we deeply wish to honor these intentions. The most rigorous language you could use in your gift planning is the following:

I give                                            to the Wildlife Conservation Network, a California nonprofit corporation, with principal business address of 25745 Bassett Lane, Los Altos, CA 94022, for the benefit of <Name of Species>.

We live in an uncertain world, especially when talking about the extensive time frames involved in planned giving. Circumstances beyond anyone's control may lead to unpredictable situations. In the ideal scenario, conservation efforts may no longer be necessary to protect a species. Conversely, in the worst case scenario the species may have become extinct. To address this type of remote possibility, we would prefer the latitude of the following language:

I give                                            to the Wildlife Conservation Network, a California nonprofit corporation, with principal business address of 25745 Bassett Lane, Los Altos, CA 94022, for the benefit of <Name of Species>, except in extreme circumstances, such as extinction of the target species, wherein an approval of the WCN board could reallocate the funds to where they are most needed.

Whatever language you choose, we sincerely appreciate your vision for the future of wildlife conservation and we are deeply appreciative of the trust that you've shown in WCN and our Partners to realize that vision.

WCN's tax identification number is 30-0108469

Great Cats and Rare Canids Conservation Act

Conservationists from around the world, including some of WCN’s Partners, recently met on Capitol Hill for a Senate briefing of the Great Cats and Rare Canids Conservation Act.

This vital piece of legislation would provide wild cats and canids, including Ethiopian wolves, lions, African wild dogs and many other threatened species vital support through the Multinational Species Conservation Funds, managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The House passed the Act, but it still awaits a floor vote in the Senate.
